Corporate
social responsibility and the linked issue of ethical investing are
growing in importance at an escalating rate. It is a subject of
importance to a huge number of stakeholders and Opinion leaders is
launching its inaugural syndicated study into this area.. It is a
three stage research project which will be of value to large
corporates in shaping their future efforts in this area.
Stage 1
Over 750
Australian Shareholders Association (ASA) members were surveyed
about their views on a range of CSR oriented issues such as water
conservation, carbon trading, off-shoring of jobs etc, before asking
them specifically how this affected their investment behaviour.
Stage 2
Approximately
20 of the original ASA members were then interviewed in person to
elicit a deeper understanding of their views. These interviews were
all conducted face to face
Stage 3
A group of
carefully selected opinion leaders in this area (fund managers,
financial planners, industry representative bodies and specialist
journalists) were then interviewed were then interviewed on the same
topic
